Please read through the instructions before you begin.

Requirements

1. Advent Calendar F370 col.1 – 1 panel
2. Wadding and backing 20″ x 23″.
3. Gold thread, ribbons and bells for embellishment.

¼” seam allowances are included.

Making The Quilt

1. Cut out main rectangle from the Advent Calendar panel.

2. Use this as a template to cut out your wadding and backing pieces.

3. Place the advent calendar onto the wadding and on to this put the

backing.

With right sides together pin into place and sew around leaving an

opening for turning.

Clip the corners and turn to right side and sew up the opening.

Top stitch around the edge.

4. Cut out all of the pocket strips.

5. Along the top edge of each pocket strip turn over twice to the gold line, to

hide the raw edge and then sew down.

6. Do this to all the pockets.

7. Turn in a ¼” on the sides and bottom up to the gold line, press.

8. Matching the numbers with the pockets and the panel, sew the strips into

place. Add a hanging sleeve on the back.

9. Embellish the advent calendar as required with festive decorations such

as gold thread, ribbons and bells.
